Before the enormous success of Ray on the silver screen, Academy Award® winner Jamie Fox kept viewers glued to the small screen with THE JAMIE FOXX SHOW. In the semi-biographical sitcom, Jamie Foxx plays Jamie King, a charismatic young man with the dream of making it in show business.

Jamie moves from Texas to Los Angeles to hit the “Big Time”. But in the meantime, he'll have to be content performing his innovative lounge act and mundane chores at an aging, once-famous Los Angeles hotel owned by his relatives.

The best part of Jamie’s day is working with Francesca “Fancy” Monroe (Garcelle Beauvais-Nilon), the gorgeous front desk clerk. However, buttoned-down Braxton P. Hartnabrig (Christopher B. Duncan), the hotel’s fastidious Ivy League accountant, also fancies Fancy and makes every attempt to get between Jamie and his girl.
